On Friday 8th September, Griffiths saw the re-opening of Goal Ferry Bridge.
Gaol Ferry Bridge had been closed for a year whilst Griffiths repaired it and returned it to its former glory. The bridge was constructed in the 1930’s and was in much need of repair.
The bridge provides a footpath and cycle path across the New Cut of the River Avon, joining the south of Bristol to the city centre, and it is the main pedestrian route across the river into Wapping Wharf.
The repair work has meant the bridge has been closed for a year, but has re-opened, repaired and restored to its former glory.
