Fel rhan o\u2019n hymrwymiad i gyflawni Sero Net erbyn 2030, mae Griffiths wedi buddsoddi er mwyn treialu a chyflwyno Tanwydd HVO (Diesel Gwyrdd). Mae Griffiths yn falch o weithio gyda\u2019n partneriaid cyflenwi Olew dros Gymru (a fydd yn ailfrandio fel Gwyrdd dros Gymru cyn hir) a\u2019n cwsmer, Llywodraeth Cymru i sicrhau mai Prosiect Pont Dyfi ydy\u2019r cyntaf o\u2019n safleoedd yng Nghymru i ddechrau treialu. Bydd data o\u2019r treial hwn a\u2019n safleoedd treialu yng Ngogledd Dyfnaint yn cael eu defnyddio wrth i ni benderfynu sut bydd Griffiths yn mynd a HVO yn ei flaen fel rhan o\u2019n rhaglen datgarboneiddio.<\/p>\n

Mae HVO yn tarddu o nifer o wahanol fathau o olewau llysiau, megis had r\u00eap, blodau\u2019r haul, ffa soia ac olew palmwydd, yn ogystal \u00e2 brasterau anifeiliaid. Mae Griffiths yn prynu ei holl HVO o ffynonellau cynaliadwy sydd wedi\u2019u tystysgrifo gan y Cynllun Tystysgrifo Cynaliadwyedd a Charbon Rhyngwladol (ISCC).<\/p>\n

Mae ein hymchwiliadau cynnar wedi dod i\u2019r casgliad bod modd defnyddio HVO mewn peiriannau diesel confensiynol heb addasu\u2019r peiriannau na\u2019r tanciau a modd ei ddefnyddio\u2019n bur neu wedi\u2019i gymysgu \u00e2 diesel ac mae hynny\u2019n hwyluso ein proses o drawsnewid i fod yn fusnes adeiladu HVO yn unig.<\/p>\n

Ymhellach, mae ein hymchwiliadau wedi canfod bod ddefnyddio HVO yn gallu helpu i leihau allyriadau nwyon t\u0177 gwydr hyd at 90% o gymharu \u00e2 diesel ffosil. Yn ogystal \u00e2 lleihau ein hallyriadau carbon, mae hyn yn gwella ansawdd yr aer yn y cymunedau ble rydyn ni\u2019n gweithio.<\/p>\n
