Mae Griffiths yn uwchraddio Pont Reilffordd eiconig Abermo. Rydyn ni\u2019n cynnal y gwaith adfer mwyaf ar y bont yn ei hanes. Bydd ein gwaith uwchraddio yn amddiffyn y bont boblogaidd ar gyfer cenedlaethau’r dyfodol ac sicrhau ei bod mor odidog ag erioed. Mae’r strwythur wedi’i adeiladu mewn 2 ran \u2013 pont bren 113 rhychwant a phont fetel 4 rhychwant. Cyfanswm ei hyd yw 820 metr.<\/p>\n

Mae’r bont, sydd dros 150 oed, mewn cyflwr gwael. Rydyn ni eisoes wedi adnewyddu 113 rhychwant y bont bren, gwaith a gwblhawyd adeg y Nadolig 2021.<\/p>\n

Nawr rydym yn disodli’r 4 rhychwant metel, yn ogystal ag adnewyddu’r is-strwythur. Mae’r rheilffordd ar gau am 12 wythnos rhwng 2 Medi a 25 Tachwedd, ac mae’r timau wedi’u lleoli yng Nghompownd Morfa (ochr ddeheuol y bont) ac yn Rhodfa\u2019r M\u00f4r (ochr ogleddol y bont).<\/p>\n

Mae’r dull o ddymchwel yr hen strwythur a gosod y strwythur newydd yn un arloesol ac unigryw. Adeiladwyd rheilffordd dros dro yng nghompownd y safle i dreialu’r gwaith o osod a chludo’r prif rychwantau er mwyn gallu ymarfer y gwaith.\u00a0 Mae’r gwaith o ddymchwel yr hen rychwantau a gosod y rhychwantau newydd yn cael ei wneud drwy ddefnyddio trawst dur dros dro hir fel yr ardal weithio, ynghyd \u00e2 chraeniau nenbont. Mae’r hen bont sydd wedi’i dymchwel yn cael ei gollwng i lawr ar bontynau a’i chludo i ffwrdd ar y m\u00f4r.<\/p>\n

Rydyn ni bellach ar ddiwedd wythnos 3 allan o\u2019r 12 ac mae’r gwaith yn parhau yn unol \u00e2’r rhaglen. Mae’r prosiect yn heriol gan fod cyflymderau gwynt (unrhyw beth dros 29 mya) ac amodau’r llanw, yn ogystal \u00e2 llanw isel ac uchel, yn gallu effeithio’n andwyol ar y gwaith. Rydyn ni mewn sefyllfa dda gyda’n timau gweithgar a’n cadwyn gyflenwi yn sicrhau bod y gwaith yn mynd yn ei flaen fel y dylai.<\/p>\n
