Griffiths are currently looking to recruit a Plant Fitter to join our team operating in our Workshop in Bristol working on servicing and maintaining our vehicle plant. We are open to applicants who have Plant Fitter experience in other industrial/manufacturing environments.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY

The Plant Fitter will work closely with the plant maintenance team in our Workshop. You will be responsible for undertaking all of our vehicle plant servicing, with occasional maintenance, repairs and improvements to ensure maximum reliability of all our plant vehicles.

Your responsibilities will include (not exhaustive):

  • Ensuring servicing and maintenance are in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and instructions, additionally liaising with both the Workshop Manager and Manufactures to ensure this is carried out
  • Management of vehicle servicing schedules, keeping downtime to a minimum with timely and safe adherence to the servicing plan whilst complying to all relevant statutory legislation and the internal company Safety, Health and Environmental standards
  • Continue to improve vehicle plant performance whilst maintaining safety, maintenance and asset reliability
  • Ensuring that you hold a stock of items that are in regular use and re-ordering or ordering specialist parts to ensure all servicing can be carried out
  • Have pride in your workplace, this will be both in your van and on multi-sites

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

As Plant Fitter you will be a vital part of the Team that keeps Griffiths moving, enabling Griffiths to deliver the infrastructure projects across the country. You are instrumental in the maintenance and servicing of our vehicle plant.

Plant Fitter – Qualifications/Requirements/Capabilities:

  • DESIRABLE – Apprentice trained in Vehicle Plant Maintenance
  • DESIRABLE – Experience in Vehicle Plant Servicing / Maintenance
  • ESSENTIAL – Experience of operating a number of plant categories
