We are currently looking for a Site Agent to join and lead our amazing team in Porthmadog. Due to the nature of the role, we are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Caernarfon, Pwllheli, Bangor, Llangefni, Holyhead, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Llanrwst, Abergele, St Asaph, Mostyn, Flint, Dolgellau, Denbigh, Ruthin, Rhyl, Llangollen, Deeside, Buckley.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY

The Site Agent will work within the Civil Engineering team. We are looking to hear from candidates who have worked in a similar industry and have previous experience of working on Civil Engineering projects with a passion and drive to lead your team to excel and be the best they can be.

On a day-to-day basis, the successful Site Agent’s responsibilities will include (not limited to) the following:

  • Promoting and Leading the site safety culture; ensuring that all works are carried out in a planned, controlled and safe manner
  • Complying with all HSQE systems; implementing these on site
  • Managing and measuring on site productivity and performance
  • Managing procurement and performance of sub-contractors
  • Ensuring that works’ activities are carried out efficiently
  • Maintaining and developing customer relationships
  • Optimising targeted financial contribution for the scheme

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The successful applicant in the role of Site Agent will have an Engineering background with experience of a range of different Civil Engineering projects.

We are looking to hear from candidates who are in receipt of the following:

  • ESSENTIAL – A solid comprehension of current methods and up to date knowledge of specifications and contract principles
  • ESSENTIAL – Demonstrable personal and organisational skills
  • ESSENTIAL – A good understanding of NEC ECC Contracts
  • ESSENTIAL – Strong experience of the planning and programming process, along with a high level of commercial acumen
  • ESSENTIAL – Be able to motivate your team and to prioritise and manage workload for both yourself and others within your team and the wider business

For this role you must hold a FULL UK car driving license with no more than 6 penalty points

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • DESIRABLE – Preferably a further education qualification e.g. Degree or HND/HNC (ideally relatable to Civil Engineering)
  • DESIRABLE – CSCS Black Card (Including relevant NVQ)
  • DESIRABLE – SMSTS
  • DESIRABLE – SEATS
  • DESIRABLE – Temporary Works Coordinator
